Meet Our Chiropractor
I get asked all the time why I chose to go into the chiropractic field. The answer is really simple. I was not happy with the options for pain relief that were out there.
I grew up as a multi-sport athlete and with that came injuries. Every injury I sustained seemed to receive the same recommendations; take medication and rest. Every athlete can agree that the last thing you want to do is rest and not participate. As most of us do when we are younger I never listened, continued to participate and most likely sustained further damage.
During my final year in college I decided to sign up for my first marathon to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As my training increased so did the nagging pain that had developed in my calf. I could not afford to take time off training if I was going to complete the 26.2 miles that was ahead of me.
I sought out a local chiropractor. He was able to diagnose what my problem was (poor foot biomechanics), treat the pain, allow me to continue training while receiving therapy and gave me recommendations on how to keep the pain from returning. After that experience I knew that the chiropractic field was right for me.
I am originally from Strasburg, Colorado (a small town most Coloradoans have never heard of either). Eldersburg has been home to my family and I for the past 11 years.
