About Liberty Chiropractic

Welcome to Liberty Chiropractic where our #1 goal is to get you out of pain quickly and back to doing what you love.  One of our biggest frustrations is when a patient tells us they were told to stop doing something they love.  We had a patient come in to our office with a complaint that their back hurt when they walked.  After seeing another physician and being told, “if it hurts while walking just stop doing it,” they ended up in our office.  Our bodies were meant to move, and research shows that returning to regular activities sooner helps to speed up recovery.  Sitting and laying around for days or weeks when you are in pain can significantly impact your recovery.

Meet Our Chiropractor

I get asked all the time why I chose to go into the chiropractic field.  The answer is really simple. I was not happy with the options for pain relief that were out there.

I grew up as a multi-sport athlete and with that came injuries.  Every injury I sustained seemed to receive the same recommendations; take medication and rest.  Every athlete can agree that the last thing you want to do is rest and not participate.  As most of us do when we are younger I never listened, continued to participate and most likely sustained further damage.

During my final year in college I decided to sign up for my first marathon to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As my training increased so did the nagging pain that had developed in my calf.  I could not afford to take time off training if I was going to complete the 26.2 miles that was ahead of me.

I sought out a local chiropractor. He was able to diagnose what my problem was (poor foot biomechanics), treat the pain, allow me to continue training while receiving therapy and gave me recommendations on how to keep the pain from returning. After that experience I knew that the chiropractic field was right for me.

I am originally from Strasburg, Colorado (a small town most Coloradoans have never heard of either). Eldersburg has been home to my family and I for the past 11 years.

Desiree Williams: Education

I graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science and received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Florida Campus where I graduated magna cum laude.

While attending chiropractic school I had the privilege to work at the Central Texas Veteran’s Health Care System.  There I was able to provide chiropractic care to retired men and women of all military services, a great honor as my husband is a Naval Officer.

Mission

12112473_1079924868684906_7721747864007665613_nMy goal is to figure out what is causing your problem, explain it to you, and help walk you through it. Typically, there are home care exercises or stretches you can do, and we will go over this.  Often there is a soft tissue component to our problems that require work, I do that also. Joint dysfunction often leads to muscles getting over-reactive, which can lead to further symptoms. I want to help you with everything contributing to your pain.

I am vigilant on keeping up with the current literature, especially surrounding nutrition, exercise, and pain. This allows me to give you cutting edge advice and information on those topics.

I take great pride in helping to heal pain. There is nothing more satisfying that helping my patients become pain free and allowing them to return to all their normal activities.
